Paco at Cafe Baroc

                                                                                   My first encounter with Paco at a cafe Baroc along the Paris back alley.
                                                                                   We were strangers.

                                                                                   I sent him this photograph and he liked it alot. Then 
                                                                                   He invited me to Sunset, a live jazz scene in Chatlet for his concert. 
                                                                                   It was a big band of 11 people, all instrumental.
                                                                                   The guy turned out to be a legendary musician,
                                                                                   Who used to take a leading role in Joe Zawinul Syndicate and Pastrius.
                                                                                   (Dear Joe, the leader of Weather Report, died while ago and finally settled in his Birdland)

                                                                                   At Sunset, Paco gave me a special seat, possibly expecting me to produce more of good photographs.
                                                                                   I spent 3 rolls of films and did get somethings but
                                                                                   Soon I lost interests and rather found next-seat buddy Reno,
                                                                                   then an unknown musician, more enticing.(Later I made my only documentary with him)

                                                                                   A lot of things happened with Paco later. But
                                                                                   A lot of things in life do not really matter.
                                                                                   Now that I turn back,                                                                        
                                                                                   The truth hides in this small darkish cafe Baroc,
                                                                                   At the FIRST TIME WE MET.

                                                                                   As always, it hides in the very Beginning and grows within/out.
